In Focus: Delonte West, cult hero
By Andy Gray
In a recent post, SI.com’s Rob Mahoney listed Delonte West as one of the best minimum-salary players in the NBA. The Mavericks’ guard is also one of the most colorful players. Whether it’s working at Home Depot during the lockout or giving his opponents mid-game wet willies, West has become something of a cult hero among diehard NBA fans. Here’s hoping he has a strong season, earns himself a long-term deal and doesn’t find himself on the minimum-salary player list in 2013-14.
