NBA stars react to NCAA scoring record
Grinnell College’s Jack Taylor set an NCAA scoring record last night with 138 points in a Division III game against Faith Baptist Bible. Taylor shot 52-of-108 overall and 27-for-71 on three-pointers in 36 minutes. The previous scoring record was held by Rio Grande’s Bevo Francis, who scored 113 points against Hillsdale in 1954.
Taylor’s performance garnered attention from Kobe Bryant, and other stars from around the NBA who sounded off on the record night on Twitter. Here’s a sampling of that reaction:
Jack Taylor you deserve a shot of Jack Daniels after that performance lol…wow—

138 points is impressive but I think shooting 108 times (71 3 pointers) is more impressive. #throwemup—

That boy Jack Taylor Is something serious! My Lord 138 points!—

LOL @ Channing Frye, Damian Lillard & Cole Aldrich
I agree with them though, its not really impressive, he has an average FG percentage which mean if more than half the NBA or College players were to attempt that many shots they too would score around the same thing.
