It’s all downhill from here for Bobcats center Byron Mullens, who just threw down the dunk of his life over Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge.

With roughly eight minutes remaining in the first quarter Monday in Charlotte, Mullens rebounded his own miss, took one dribble into the paint and exploded over the top of Portland’s All-Star forward for a one-handed, reaching dunk that sent his bench into hysterics. Time Warner Cable Arena wasn’t exactly packed, but the fans in attendance jumped out of their seats when Mullens completed the stuff.

Mullens, a 7-footer out of Ohio State, is averaging career highs of 12.9 points and 8.2 rebounds. His dunk joins Jeff Green’s posterization of Al Jefferson and Harrison Barnes’ stuff over Nikola Pekovic in the “Dunk of the Year” conversation.

The brilliant announcers going on and on about how Aldridge was outside the restricted area, and "I don't understand that at all" (why the offensive foul wasn't called).... meanwhile, the slow-mo video on screen as they're talking shows his foot on the line.

@playingitout NBA  announcers are terribly biased for their teams... Unless it's a nationally televised game the announcing is always horrible. Every call is a bad call if it's against their team and every call is a brilliant call if it's for their team. This was obviously Portland announcers.. You can literally turn on the same game announced by opposite team announcers and you will think they're talking about different games
