Clippers’ Crawford unleashes slick crossover to finish on the break

We won’t blame you if you watched the Lakers contain the Knicks and LeBron James’ Heat take down Kevin Durant’s Thunder before skipping the Nuggets/Clippers nightcap to call it a day.
The Clippers ran away with a 112-100 home win in the conclusion of Tuesday’s Christmas Day quintupleheader. The game was basically one long highlight reel, with everyone from Blake Griffin to Ronny Turiaf getting in on the dunking action.
The play of the game might well have been Jamal Crawford’s behind-the-back dribble jump hop in transition. With the Clippers leading 39-32 early in the second quarter, Crawford attacked the basket on the break. He dribbled behind his back from right to left as he approached Nuggets guard Andre Miller and then passed the ball from his left hand to his right hand as his skipped hard to his right to avoid being called for a charge. From there, Crawford jump stopped and leaned in, kissing an eight-footer off the glass over Kenneth Faried.
Crawford finished with a team-high 22 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 31 minutes. Matt Barnes added 20 points and Chris Paul finished with 14 points and eight assists for the Clippers, who won their 14th straight game. Jordan Hamilton and Kosta Koufos each finished with 16 points for the Nuggets in a losing effort.
