Lakers’ Kobe Bryant dunks on Nets’ Kris Humphries and Gerald Wallace
By Ben Golliver
Lakers guard Kobe Bryant threw down a monster dunk in traffic over Kris Humphries and Gerald Wallace on Tuesday during the fourth quarter against the Nets at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
“As far as the dunk, I just had the lane and I took it,” Bryant said in a postgame interview with NBA TV. “I was upset because I missed so many easy ones all night long. I had a lane to the basket and I took it. I thought it was an and-one but I think the ref was surprised that I actually dunked it.”
The Lakers defeated the Nets 92-83 to improve to 23-26 and win for the sixth time in seven games. Bryant finished with a team-high 21 points (on 9-of-24 shooting), eight rebounds, four assists and four steals in 37 minutes.

Bryant’s slam is an outside candidate in the “Dunk of the Year” conversation, which includes: Nick Young over Larry Sanders, Kevin Durant over Marcin Gortat, Gerald Henderson over Dwight Howard, Byron Mullens over LaMarcus Aldridge, Jeff Green over Al Jefferson and Harrison Barnes over Nikola Pekovic.
