A shoving match between members of the Warriors and Pacers carried into the stands during the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s game in Indianapolis.

The brouhaha began when Pacers center Roy Hibbert and Warriors forward David Lee exchanged shoves while fighting for rebounding position. Hibbert then shoved Warriors guard Stephen Curry to the ground, prompting Curry to retaliate by running at Hibbert. That led to further shoving that carried a group of five or six players into the baseline stands.

All told, the referees assessed six technical fouls in three sets of double technicals to Hibbert and Lee, Hibbert and Klay Thompson, and David West and Curry. Hibbert was automatically ejected after receiving his two technical fouls, departing with 13 points, nine rebounds and five blocks in 28 minutes. All other players were allowed to remain in the game.

The NBA will review the incident and fines and/or suspensions are surely coming, given the various escalating events involved in the altercation as well as the fact that the skirmish carried over into the crowd.

The exchange occurred at the 6:09 mark of the fourth quarter with the Pacers leading 95-85. Indiana went on to win 108-97 to improve to 36-21. Golden State dropped to 33-24. West led Indiana with 28 points and seven rebounds. Curry led Golden State with 38 points, four assists and three steals.

Lee is an undisciplined punk who goes beyond physical and tries to bait other players. He tried the same shenangans with Tim Duncan the other night. Hibbert just took the bait and Duncan did not.

All Curry did was trying to throw his arms around Roy Hibbert to restrain him (after he and Lee got into it). Hibbert reacted by tossing him like a doll. Curry, then, rushed at him to shove him back, and, got tossed down again. I do not see how Curry did anything but try to break this thing up....

No, no.  According to ESPN this was a "brawl".  Why must ESPN always be awful?
