Video: Celtics’ Jeff Green hits buzzer-beating game-winner to top Cavaliers

Celtics forward Jeff Green hit a game-winning, buzzer-beating lay-up to defeat the Cavaliers 93-92 in Cleveland on Wednesday night.
It just shouldn’t be this easy with the game on the line. Boston inbounded the ball trailing 92-91 with 2.1 seconds remaining in regulation. Green freed himself from Luke Walton thanks to Jason Terry running interference. Receiving the ball at the top of the key, Green drove hard to his right with Walton already beaten, taking just one dribble and two steps to get to the rim, slipping between Wayne Ellington and Shaun Livingston to bank in a running lay-up as the light the went off.
Green, inserted into the starting lineup with both Kevin Garnett and Courtney Lee out injured, finished with 21 points (on seven-for-18 shooting), seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in 41 minutes. Brandon Bass added a game-high 22 points (on eight-for-14 shooting), five rebounds and two assists.
Ellington finished with a team-high 16 points (on seven-for-16 shooting), three rebounds and two assists.
Boston, the Eastern Conference’s No. 7 seed, improved to 37-34 with the win. Cleveland dropped to 22-48 after losing its sixth straight game.
