Video: Rockets’ Carlos Delfino dunks on Thunder’s Kevin Durant

Yes, you read that headline correctly. Rockets forward Carlos Delfino dunked all over Thunder forward Kevin Durant during Monday’s Game 4, not the other way around.

With a little more than three minutes remaining in the third quarter and the Rockets leading 82-75, Delfino poked the ball free from Kevin Martin on the perimeter, triggering a coast-to-coast fast-break opportunity. Durant timed his defensive effort, hoping to wipe out the dunk attempt at the rim, only to have the Argentinian finish with authority over the top of him with a right-handed slam. This wasn’t the purest poster, as Durant was coming from the side, but Delfino still got him good.

Delfino finished with 13 points (on four-for-six shooting), four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 26 minutes off of coach Kevin McHale’s bench. That marked his biggest scoring night of the series so far.

Houston went on to win 105-103 to force Game 5 in Oklahoma City on Wednesday night. The Thunder now lead the Western Conference first-round playoff series 3-1.
