Video: Bulls’ Nate Robinson blocks Heat’s LeBron James
The highlight of the night for the Bulls during a 104-94 loss to the Heat was a sensational block of LeBron James by Nate Robinson.
Robinson, one of the shortest players in the NBA, managed to hang in the air for an extra few beats to catch James’ lay-up attempt near the rim as he descended. The sequence unfolded as the 2013 MVP pushed the ball in transition with a little more than two minutes remaining in the third quarter with the Bulls holding a 68-66 lead. Robinson waited on the weakside as James came across the paint to attempt a left-handed finish. Robinson’s block wasn’t a full-blown swat but it deflected the ball free and prevented two points all the same.
James finished with a game-high 25 points (on six-for-17 shooting), eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 44 minutes. He had 12 fourth-quarter points to seal the road win.
Robinson tallied 17 points (on five-for-13 shooting), seven assists, six rebounds and two steals to go with this block in 42 minutes.
The Heat now leads the Bulls 2-1 in their Eastern Conference semifinals series. Game 4 is set for Monday in Chicago.
