Video: Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins shoves Jerryd Bayless

2013 NBA playoffs, Ben Golliver, Jerryd Bayless, Lionel Hollins, Memphis Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs

Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins shoved reserve guard Jerryd Bayless into his seat on the bench after pulling him from the fourth quarter of Game 4 of the Western Conference finals against the Spurs on Monday.

Hollins used his left arm to shove Bayless’ right arm as the 24-year-old moved toward an open seat. Bayless stared back at his coach, and a Grizzlies assistant had to step between Hollins and Bayless as the two continued to exchange words.

The exchange occurred with 3:54 left in the fourth quarter with the Spurs leading 89-81. The Grizzlies had conceded a mid-range jumper to Tony Parker on San Antonio’s previous possession; ESPN analyst Jeff Van Gundy said Hollins had wanted Bayless to help contest the shot. Bayless checked back into the game at the 2:27 mark. He finished with eight points (on 3-for-10 shooting) and two assists in 24 minutes.

San Antonio went on to win 93-86 to complete the four-game sweep over Memphis. The Spurs advance to the 2013 Finals, where they will face either the Heat or the Pacers. Game 1 is set for June 6.

That .gif is a bit deceptive. When I was watching the game it looked more like Bayless shrugged off Hollins' hand, not Hollins pushing Bayless

you dont do that to a grown man there is a reason the assitant jumped in the way and thats because he expected for any man shoved like a child to get up and hook off

I've watched replays of  Lebron James, He's really a great player that even the refs respected Him.  He always got a superstar treatment on court which makes NBA refs falling on biased decisions.  On replays James uses his elbows a lot and hits a lot of defender which he is not called.  He is really great and I do not know if he is bigger than NBA.
