Video: Bulls’ Derrick Rose leaves game early with hamstring injury

Bulls guard Derrick Rose left Chicago’s 96-81 home win over Cleveland during the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury.

Rose — who has played in all six of Chicago’s games since missing the entire 2012-13 season recovering from left knee surgery — left the game with 3:15 remaining and he did not return. Less than a minute before he departed for good, Rose came up limping after he completed a play in transition. There didn’t appear to be any contact on the play.

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau termed it a “minor right hamstring” injury after the game, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Rose finished with 16 points, seven assists and three rebounds in 34 minutes.

Carlos Boozer led the Bulls (3-3) with a game-high 17 points and seven rebounds. Kyrie Irving led the Cavaliers (3-5) with 16 points and four assists.

The Bulls’ next game is Friday in Toronto.
