Video: Timberwolves’ Kevin Love throws insane outlet pass

Kevin Love, Los Angeles Lakers, Minnesota Timberwolves

Before facing the Timberwolves last week, Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle marveled at Kevin Love’s outlet passing.

“The guy can throw a chest pass a hundred yards,” Carlisle said, according to the Dallas Morning News. “He should be an NFL quarterback, and he could throw chest passes to receivers. I remember Wes Unseld. Unfortunately that’s how old I am. Love is an equal to him in terms of being able to outlet the ball.”

The video above (via YouTube user firstandskol), from the Timberwolves’ 113-90 victory over the Lakers on Sunday, speaks to Carlisle’s point: Love is on another level as an outlet passer. His perfect full-court outlet pass led to a layup for Corey Brewer, but a Lakers foul wiped out the basket.

Here’s another angle, from an SB Nation GIF:

Love finished with 25 points, 13 rebounds and three assists to help the Timberwolves snap a 22-game losing streak to the Lakers. Ricky Rubio had a triple-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists for Minnesota, which improved to 5-2.

That is an old school Wes Unseld pass. Look him up kids, along with Walton one of the best all time outlet passers.
